If you exchange gifts with people that have pets, it might be a nice touch to remember their pets from time to time. You can easily make edible gifts for pets and the pet owner will appreciate your thoughtfulness. While there are plenty of recipes for homemade dog biscuits and cat treats, if you would rather buy treats instead for the cat or dog in your life, you can easily fix up a basket or a jar with edible gifts for pets.

Look in the treat aisle of your supermarket or wherever you buy pet food. You’ll find bones of all sizes, chews, and jerky treats. You can either leave them in the package and arrange a gift basket, perhaps with a new ball or chew toy included as well. If you’re buying edible gifts for cats, look for catnip, along with cat treats. If you don’t want to make an entire gift basket, buy small treats and arrange them in a jar. Put the pet’s name on a small card and affix to the jar with a ribbon.

If you have several friends, customers, or acquaintances with pets, you may want to bake up a batch of edible pet treats. Just check the ingredients with the pet owner to make sure all is well, just in case the pet has any allergies you may not be aware of. You’ll have a lot of fun making your pet presents and the recipients, both animal and human, will appreciate your thoughtfulness.
